Real estate market in Sofia: forecast for year 2012
The prognosis of the leading real estate companies in Sofia predict that in year 2012, the number of the property deals is expected to be similar, as the number of the deals in year 2011. A slight decline in the apartment prices is also expected. The buyers will be looking for affordable apartments. More precise prognoses however, can not be made because of the general uncertainty of the global markets and the future of Europe. It is expected year 2012 to be filled with many difficulties and challenges for the different sphere of businesses and for the people.
During the last months of year 2011, the property market in Sofia was stable and the number of the deals signed was similar to the one in the previous year. There were no significant changes in the property prices as well, which are currently balanced and stable. Still there is a difference between the demand and the offer prices in Sofia, but they are expected to reach balance. In case that there are no major problems and a slow recovery from the crisis is observed, year 2012 is expected to have similar number of apartment sales in Sofia as the levels of year 2010, while the mortgage rates will go down.
