The financial crises had its impact not only on the number of the signed deals on Sofia apartments, but also on the different segments on the realties market and the interest towards certain Sofia neighborhoods. The districts that remain popular among the Sofia apartments investors are still the central downtown area and the Lozenets districts, despite the lack of parking zones and the difficulties with the transportation due to the construction of the new stations of the Sofia underground system.

Other Sofia residential zones that keep the buyers interest includes Iztok District and Ivan Vazov – and District, where could be found quality, brick-built buildings with spacious one- and two-bedroom Sofia apartments. Another district that is close to the downtown Sofia zone, but sees reduction of the prices, is Strelbiste district, near Bulgaria Blvd. and the South Park. Other neighborhoods in the capital Sofia that enjoy an increased interest from the property buyers are the districts of Yavorov, Izgrev, Oboriste. The Sofia districts that used to be popular in the last couple of years, but have lost their appeal are Buxton, Pavlovo, Mladost quarters 1, 2 and 3.

As the interest rates have gone down and new mortgage offers are being provided by the financial institutions in the country, there is a prognosis for a slight increase in the deals with cheap Sofia apartments. These Sofia residential units are expected to be purchased by people looking for a first home and not for an investment. The buyers who wanted to make profit by purchasing Sofia apartments, already signed the deals for residential units in the central city zone.
