Sofia property prices up and then stabilize
During the first half of year 2010, the prices of Sofia real estate have gone up with 1.5 percent when compared to the second half of the previous year 2009. What will happen from that point onwards depends on the economic crises and the direction it will take. The Sofia apartments prices have increased with 2 to 7 per cent in the residential districts “Reduta” and “Mladost”, while in the districts of “Slatina” and “Dianabad” the increase is by 10 ten cent.
At the same time the neighborhoods “Vitosha", “Darvenitsa” and “Krasno Selo” got reduction of the price with as much as 11 per cent. To sum it up, the residential area in the capital Sofia was traded in the price range of 450 – 1100 Euro per square meter, during the first six months of 2010.
The large Sofia studio apartments with capacity for two residents and the one bedroom apartments in the capital were offered at approximately 250 Euros. The smaller studio apartments in Sofia had average rental rates between 150 and 200 Euros per month. To rent 3 bedroom Sofia apartments, people paid in the price range 210 – 400 Euro each month.
