The Sofia southern districts have average prices below 1000 Euro/sq.m
As a direct result of the crisis, the Sofia real estate market changed and today the 1-bedroom and the 2-bedroom Sofia apartments saw a drop in the prices by approximately 15 per cent for the past one year. Actually, the purchase prices of the properties set in the area near the Vitosha Mountain have gone under the sum of one thousand euros per square meter, with the highest decrease being in Boyana district, where the percentage of the decrease is above twenty.

Actually, only Ovcha Kupel district in Sofia is among the areas close to Vitosha Mountain where an apartment can be purchased for below six hundred euros per square meter. The decrease in the prices of the properties in the posh neighborhood of Sofia – Lozenets, is below ten percent and the difference in the prices is impressive, as they may vary from 70 000 to 200 000 Euros.

In the Vitosha neighborhood which comes mainly with new residential buildings, a one-bedroom apartment can cost from 45 000 to 100 000 Euros. The Buxton district features a drop of seventeen per cent in the apartment prices and the 1-bedroom apartments for sale are in the range of 42 000 to 130 000 Euros.
